Recession, depression, unemployed? What’s a person to do? Jobs seem to be drying up and there is no bail out in site, or is there. Hi, I am Ron Jarman, I’m pastor of Rivers of Water Harvest Church in Antlers, OK. I have not always been a Pastor. Before the call of the Lord I had set out to become a successful grocery operator with a large chain. Things went well for many years until a recession and then a lay off. I figured I had two ways I could look at it! First, I could look at it as doom and gloom and taken on the outlook of being defeated. Second I could look at it as the greatest opportunity ever afforded me with the exception of serving my Lord. I chose the second path. This was an opportunity that I would seize.
The opportunity was to be more in control of decisions that was made for the welfare of my career and family. I’m talking about becoming an Entrepreneur. An Entrepreneur can have many opportunities, you have to look for them. Once I had decided to move in this direction I began to look at my talents and abilities. I was experienced in the grocery business and I had connections in the grocery business, so I started an auditing firm that help businesses stay more informed in their day to day operation. This was a tremendous business and it served me well, but the most important thing I learned through this is that there are many opportunities that are there, but we must seize the moment and build these businesses and dreams.
One thing I have seen as an opportunity that is virtually untapped is raising food for consumption right here in the good ole USA. You say, I’m not a farmer, well I’m not either, but there are ways that you can produce income from areas as small as your back yard. The business I am talking about is Growing vegetables in greenhouses. Year round production, controlled environment, and low cost startup with tremendous profit potential if you follow the correct guidelines.
Rivers of Water Harvest church has a vision of bringing this about for our members so they can help increase their income along with forming a Co-op from our community of believers that would purchase all the vegetables and fruits that are grown which will give a market for the produce. This Co-op will then market to wholesalers, restaurants, and health food stores.
There is a more detailed plan available and I would like for you to visit one of our members site at greenhouseland.com for more information. The question is are you looking for an opportunity that could help your career, your family, your community and your nation, then Grow Baby Grow.
